Rain and storms early Saturday, nicer rest of weekend

Street flooding possible Saturday morning

NEW ORLEANS —

New Orleans Latest Weather Forecast

Rain and storms will set up over the area on Saturday morning and could linger for several hours. Street flooding is possible in addition to lightning, small hail, and brief wind gusts. While flooding will be the bigger concern, it could be more of an issue over the already saturated ground of the Northshore as well as a river flooding issue since we've accumulated so much rain over the last week from previous storms.

Rain and storms should come to an end by the lunch hour on Saturday and the rest of the day should be mostly dry with decreasing clouds. High temperatures today will be in the middle 80s.

Dry and very warm weather is on tap for Sunday with high temperatures in the upper 80s. An upper ridge of high pressure in the Gulf of Mexico will send high temperatures everyday next week into the low 90s and it'll be humid with plenty of sun.
